IDOT PROTEST QUESTIONS!

³This is the only alternative (Third Street) thatıs going to work. The other alternative is walking away,² Hannig said in a conference call with the editorial board of The State Journal-Register.

why no alternative studies?

why only 3 passenger trains approved in the 2003 EIS?

why a confidentiality clause in the May memorandum of understanding?

who prepared 2003 EIS?

SJ-R and the Grassroots Coalition for the Consolidation Plan have a number of unanswered questions of IDOT!

why no alternative studies? you have 3 separate corridors through Springfield!

why only 3 passenger trains approved in the 2003 EIS? yet 8 were in the initial 2002 study just as there are 8 in the 2009 proposal!

why a confidentiality clause in the May memorandum of understanding? when Hannig said, ³It wasnıt like this was some kind of back-room deal.²

why does IDOT claim they knew nothing of the city/county plan for consolidation? when they gave the city $140,000 for a consolidation study in 2002

why would Hannig say, "weıll be happy to tell the federal government to have their money back"? when the mitigation funds could be used on 10th as well as 3rd Street
