:I have been a fan of Public Image Limited ever since, when at age seventeen, I found out that Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) was in a band after the Sex Pistols. My friends and I were in the second wave of punk rock in the 80s at our high school, wearing suits bought at Goodwill, self-made Bermuda shorts, and dying our hair with Sun-In. We were thirsty for anything different that expressed our small town angst.

:When I came across a vinyl copy of "Flowers of Romance" by P.I.L., I was floored by the music behind Johnny's Voice, even more than I had been after hearing "This is What You Want." Later I began to isten to more and more techno music, Kraftwerk a bit and a friend who was a DJ turned me on to something that would join my punk tendencies and techno dance affinities together, Ministry.

:After Ministry went on tour I saw a T-Shirt at my community college as i walked down the hall. It was on the back of another student and I was listening to ""Cuz its Hot" by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and I was drawn in by the names that were together on the line up on the shirt. It looked like a tour at first because there were so many names on it, and as I began to make them out, I realizedf they were names I was not only familiar with, but that I liked and was interested in. As it turns out, these were the bands from which the first members of Pigface were from.

:Once I found out what was going on and realized that Martin Atkins, the name that graced the back of the "This is What You Want" album, had begun the project and the indepedent label they were on, it wasn't long until I read an Illinois Entertainer article that spoke of Invisible Records "Field Reps."
