NOTE FROM ETED: the pictures he sent aren't here yet, but I may get them posted soon.
Hey Everyone!
We got some exciting news!
First off Martin would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the
Free for All Tour!
"What an amazing tour and what a wonderful thing it is when the giving
of every ounce of energy and effort gives back 10 fold! It's certainly felt,
on this tour, especially at the end that Pigface was indeed in the house! 10
years ago when the Pigface vibe was 3 bass players, there was a song on the
set list on the riff de jour (of the day) where we just made up songs every
night, unprompted, that's what happened during the last week of this tour. Some
of it is recorded, some of it not. I've seen a lot of speculation on the web,
that this might have been the last tour. I can assure you that it wasn’t.
I simply tried to communicate to a few fans privately that with three children
and all the responsibility that b rings its difficult if not irresponsible to
go out and do these things when everything is on the line, but aside from the
financial issues there is certainly no other lesson that I’d rather teach
my kids than to give everything they have for so something that is so fueling
in return. I thought everyone was working levels above their norm on this tour
from the crew to the club owners to the band, the fans and our field reps. Thank
you all for making it a great success! And how much balls does it take for someone
like Hanin to jump on a plane and walk into rehearsals with a band of lunatics
she's never met before and for the life of us, neither she nor I have any idea
how we came into contact with each other. And how cool was Enigma?! I think
as the tour wore on I became more freaked out to look up from the kit, spit
in the air, and watch him hammer another nail into his face or swallow the sword
during No Act of Grace. Everyone was spectacular! Hanin! En Esch! Krztoff! Diablo!
Charles Levi! Curse Mackey! Sheep on Drugs! Nocturne! VooDou! Project .44! and
all the special guests including Eartha in Boston, Betty x in Seattle, New Moon
Tribe in New Orleands, David Apocalypse in San Francisco(more about David coming
in next weeks email) and all the opening bands! Amazing above the call-of-duty
help, the field reps. Individuals too numerous and too cool to mention all of
you, but we couldn’t of done it without you. The extremely groovy thing
for me is the flood in energy carried us straight into the studio hours after
the last show in Chicago . We spent Mon, Tue, Wed and most of the week laying
down new ideas and exploring, dissolving, and pushing our limits. There are
already 7 songs bigger, cooler, nastier more able to scream along with the chorus
than anything we've done in recent years. And it’s impossible to imagine
one minute of any of the 30 minutes so far being played on any radio station
anywhere in the world. And I love it. Pigface is indeed, in the house!! Thanks!"
Peace, Love, Respect
Martin
