...THEN ENTER THE GREAT RPM RADIO aalacho iPod mini GIVEAWAY MIX CONTEST.
[Brought to you by AALACHO MUSIC & SPACE 380!]
We have 3 iPod mini's reserved for the CMJ RPM panel specifically: Each iPod mini
is a custom silver AALACHO one, with electro pre-loaded on it and a secret, secret
mini-only special a-e mix.
[Which means you have 901 spaces left for your own cool music downloads!]the big
list o' contest rules:
1. Only CMJ RPM peeps/reporters are eligible for these specific 3 iPod mini's.
2. Send us a tape/burn of your show where you include an aalacho song in your
play-list.
3. You must have at least one drop-set (where you talk on-air) & a legal I.D.
on the tape/CDR.
[for verification that the tape was recorded from your show & station.]
4. Sets must be at least 60 min long, & only the first 60 min starting from
the beginning/Side A of the CDR/tape will be judged.
5. Please include your name, title of show, station call letters, and some way
we can contact you...
[ex: a good working email--If you win, we will contact you first to see where
you want the iPod mini sent to!]
6. Make sure to put attn: Aalacho Mix Contest c/o Space 380 on the envelope.
7. All tapes must be submitted to the Space Office at the address below &
post-marked by August 23rd to be eligible.
[no late entries will be accepted.]
8. Entries will then be sent to and judged by aalacho for creativity of mix/show.*
[beat-mixing is cool, but not a requirement to enter.]
9. Winners will be announced September 2nd, 2004 in the Space 380 RPM Initiative
for the week.
[ * the fine print: Mixes will not be returned unless you send us an SASE with
your tape/CDR.
The Space Staff has absolutely nothing to do with who wins, so please don't ask
us to just give you one...we don't even get a cool iPod mini for ourselves--if
that makes you feel any better! No other factors besides your mix and the creativity
of your show play into who wins! [ie: station size, your watts, your city, chart
#'s, etc.--Again, none of these things are a factor in deciding the outcome!]
'Cause we aren't wack like that, and you should be spinning aalacho now anyway--becaus
it rules! ...Plus we like too many of you folks to just choose 3 people on our
own! We do ask that if you totally don't dig aalacho, that you do the right thing,
refrain from entering, and give someone that really likes the band a chance to
win...Basically, please don't just enter because it is a damn cool contest prize
valued at $245 and you plan to ditch the pre-tunes as soon as you get your grubby
little hands on it! This contest is only meant to be something fun to do and give
back to all you RPM people that are always so cool to us, and all the artists
we work with each week--by giving the music a chance to rock on the airwaves!
So, lets please all keep it fun! and fair! (Plus we have tons of other aalacho
swag to give, so everyone can be a winner!)
That being said, *EVERY* RPM DIRECTOR is welcome to enter the great aalacho iPod
mini giveaway...& since this contest takes actual effort, if you enter you
have much better odds than Vegas workin' for ya! ]
